This Ultraflex KIT OB hydraulic hose kit, model KIT OB-70, consists of two flexible high-pressure hoses, each 7 m long. The hoses connect the helm pump to the steering cylinder in compatible hydraulic steering systems.
Both hoses are supplied with pre-pressed brass fittings. The reinforcement sleeves at one end prevent sharp bends at the connection and must be installed at the cylinder fittings.
The hose kit is designed for Ultraflex standard pumps with a pressure relief valve set to 70 bar / 1000 psi. It is compatible with the hydraulic inboard cylinders UC69-I, UC116-I, UC168-I, UC215-I, and UC293-I, which are available under item no. 45.271.06, 45.284.01, 45.284.02, 45.284.03, and 45.284.05.
The hoses are not designed for SilverSteer or MasterDrive systems with 105 bar / 1500 psi. For these systems, the KIT OB-SVS hose series must be used. Furthermore, KIT OB-70 should not be confused with the KIT OB/R5 with bulkhead fittings or the cut-to-length KIT OB/M series.
During installation, remove the protective caps and identify the hoses as port and starboard. Tighten the fitting nuts at the pump and cylinder to 20 Nm using a 17 mm open-ended wrench. After installation, activate the steering system and check the hose routing for contact, rubbing, or collision with other parts of the boat.
For installations with an additional steering station or autopilot, the related fitting kits are available under item no. 45.290.15 and 45.290.16. The manufacturer number for this 7 m variant is 40796Z.
