The control cable runs from the engine to the gear/throttle lever.
For: Johnson, Evinrude, OMC after 1979. Stroke: 75 mm

HOW TO FIND OUT HOW LONG YOUR CABLE SHOULD BE:
· Measure the distance from the center of your engine to the corner of the boat, line A.
· Then measure the distance from the center of your control box to the corner of the boat, line B.
· Then add the two lengths together (A+B), then add 3 feet so that the cable is long enough for the motor to have full freedom of movement.
· Gear/throttle cable = total length.
