This Universal instrument holder is an adjustable mounting bracket for instruments that can be attached to the elongated multi-hole plate. The construction consists of a round mounting base, a central clamping joint, and an instrument plate.
Ball joints at both the base and the instrument plate allow for adjustment of the instrument's tilt and orientation. The side-mounted wing nut tightens the central joint and secures the chosen position.
The holder is manufactured from black anodized light metal alloy. The instrument plate measures 158 × 50 mm, the base has a diameter of 62 mm, and the maximum total height is 185 mm. Mounting holes in the base and plate allow for fixed mounting to the surface and attachment of an instrument when its bracket can be adapted to the multi-hole plate.
By loosening the wing nut, the instrument plate with the mounted instrument can be removed from the fixed base. The instrument can thus be removed and taken along when it is not to be left on board. This feature is theft-deterrent, but does not consist of a key lock or locking cylinder.
