This universal quick-release liferaft cradle is a horizontal model for the secure stowage of leisure liferafts with 4-12 person capacities. The cradle can be mounted on a bulkhead or wall, on a horizontal surface such as the deck, or on a pulpit and rail structure.
The frame is made of mirror-polished AISI 316 stainless steel. Mounting is performed using four included precision-cast stainless steel clamps, which provide several placement options on board.
The liferaft is secured by a 50 mm wide nylon-coated stainless steel strap. The strap is fastened with a robust cam buckle that features a loop for a padlock. The liferaft is released quickly by opening the cam buckle, allowing for deployment without first having to remove the cradle.
The cradle is adapted to the specific liferaft during installation. The securing strap is shortened according to the height of the raft, while the cradle tubes are drilled according to the length of the raft. Therefore, no universal finished dimensions or fixed drilling positions are specified.
Before installation, verify that the mounting location provides free access to the cam buckle and allows for unimpeded release and deployment of the liferaft.
