This universal spark plug cap is an angled cap with a terminal contact for connecting the ignition cable to the spark plug. It is intended as a spare part for the engine's high-voltage ignition system and references OMC 580339 and 0580339.
The cap features an approximately 90° angled, L-shaped design. Delivery includes both the cap itself and a separate metal spring/terminal, ensuring the components form a complete cap and terminal assembly rather than just a loose protective cap.
The design is intended for 7 mm ignition cables. During installation, the cable is fed through the cap, after which the terminal contact is attached to the cable end and the cap is pulled back over the connection. Check the cable dimension and spark plug connection before installation.
The OEM reference 580339/0580339 appears in ignition and magneto systems for OMC, Johnson, and Evinrude engines. Documented application examples include the OMC Stern Drive DUE-15F as well as Johnson QD-24, CD-22, RDSL-27, and 4W70E, and Evinrude 10023, 28202, 40472, and E70TLEOR. The list is not a complete application overview.
