This universal ignition circuit kill switch is designed for the electrical safety shutdown of a boat engine's ignition circuit. This version comes complete with a safety key, red coiled lanyard, and float.
The switch features a pull-out clip system where the safety key acts as the trigger. When the clip is pulled free, the switch function is activated, allowing the engine's electrical stop function to be triggered via the ignition circuit.
The universal circuit function allows the switch to be installed so that triggering either opens or closes the circuit. The function is determined by which electrical terminals are used during installation. The universality refers to the circuit function and is not an indication of compatibility with specific engine brands or models.
A separate replacement key, part no. 14.204.94, is documented specifically for this switch. Verify the installation's stop principle and terminal connections before mounting.
