This waterproof front panel for radio/stereo protects the front of a radio or stereo unit in marine installations where the device may be exposed to water and moisture.
The panel is universal and designed for radios built according to the European DIN standard and the American SAE standard. It can therefore be used with compatible radio and stereo units within both standard formats.
The front measures 230 × 86 mm and has a protrusion of 46 mm. The opening for the radio is 180 × 53 mm. The panel is attached with six included screws.
The Clarion CZ215E with item no. 29.147.66 is a documented example of compatibility where the panel can be used as a waterproof front for outdoor installation. The radio has been discontinued, and compatibility is not limited to this model.
