Waterproof inline micro-connector from Techno is a 2-pole, detachable male/female connector for cable-to-cable installations. The TH381 connector can be used for both power and signal circuits and is supplied as a set with a male plug and female socket.
The connector is rated for 10 A AC/DC. The nominal voltage is 500 V AC or 3–60 V DC, while supplementary or reinforced insulation in Class II is specified for 250 V. The impulse withstand voltage is 4 kV. The contacts are marked 1–2, and the mechanical push-pull lock makes the connector easy to assemble and disassemble.
The conductors are mounted in M2 screw terminals with a tightening torque of 0.2 Nm. The connector supports flexible conductors of 0.25–1.5 mm² as well as either one cable with a diameter of 3–8 mm or two cables with a diameter of 1.9–2.5 mm each. The stripping length is 10 mm for the conductors and 20 mm for the cable sheath. H05xxx and H07xxx cable types are recommended.
The mated connector measures Ø14 × 90 mm, while each connector part measures Ø14 × 53 mm. The connector housing and cable gland are made of glass-fiber reinforced PA66. The gaskets and cable sealing inserts are made of TPE, the contacts of brass, and the contact screws of steel. The materials are halogen-free and silicone-free.
The enclosure rating is IP68 with documented tightness at a water depth of 30 meters for 1 hour. The design is corrosion-tested according to EN 60068-2-11:2000 and documented for 100 mating cycles. The temperature range according to the relevant product standards is −40 to +125 °C, and the maximum operating temperature is +60 °C. The connector housing has a flame class of UL94 V-0, while the cable gland has UL94 V-2.
The mini-junction box with item no. 14.374.03 is documented as a compatible accessory for this connector. The TH381 series also supports separate sealing caps, cable gaskets, and assembly keys.
