This waterproof stainless steel cable gland is designed for the sealed passage of cables with an outer diameter of 13–17 mm. The nominal variant size is 16 mm, while the documented cable range extends up to 17 mm.
The cable gland is manufactured from AISI 316 stainless steel and has an IP68 rating. The material is suitable for exposed maritime installations where the cable entry must be protected against the ingress of water and dust.
The design consists of a round base with a diameter of 56 mm and a compression part that seals tightly around the installed cable. The protrusion above the mounting surface is 26 mm. The 13–17 mm measurement indicates the compatible cable diameter and is not the hole diameter of the gland.
When selecting a variant, the actual outer diameter of the cable must be checked. Alternative sizes in the same product family are available for cables Ø 5–8 mm under item no. 14.187.11 and for cables Ø 7–12 mm under item no. 14.187.12.
