Waterproof safety box for CEE connectors is a HABA Safebox CEE that encloses a connected electrical plug connection and protects it against water, rain, and moisture. The box is suitable for shore power connections on boats as well as electrical connections for caravans, motorhomes, and campervans.
The box is made of shockproof plastic and has rubber seals around the cable outlets. A movable internal retention piece can be placed around the connection so that the plug and socket do not accidentally pull apart.
The nominal external dimensions are Ø 93 × 368 mm. The usable internal space measures Ø 80 mm and 280 mm in length, which makes it possible to check whether the current plug connection can fit into the box.
The safety box is intended for 16 A CEE plugs and CEE sockets. It can also be used around Schuko plug connections, provided the total connection stays within the usable internal dimensions. The product has no electrical components and functions as a passive protective housing around the connection.
The box can be locked so that the connection is protected against accidental or unauthorized separation. The scope of delivery includes the safety box, movable internal retention piece, padlock, and 2 keys.
