Tilting davit system with rollers for tender from VersaChock in the 3G version is a removable system for retrieving, launching, and storing a tender on the boat's stern or swim platform. The system has a maximum capacity of 160 kg and is particularly suitable for handling tenders with a rigid hull.
The two davit arms can tilt, making it easier to pull the tender over the edge of the platform. In the version with rollers, 20 soft rubber wheels distribute contact against the hull and support the tender during retrieval and storage. The system can be combined with a separate manual or electric winch.
When the davit arms reach a horizontal position, the automatic locking is activated. The included limit straps restrict the tilt angle during retrieval. Safety pins must still be installed for final securing of the arms during storage and transport.
The davit arms are made of HDPE with brackets and mounting hardware in stainless steel. The system is mounted on four low-profile, threaded stainless steel deck plates. The arms can be removed by unscrewing four bolts, freeing up the platform when the davit system is not in use. The product measures 1194 mm in width, 77 mm in depth, and 175 mm in height.
Deck plates, bolts, limit straps, and two plastic keys are included. The keys are attached with safety lanyards so they are at hand and not easily dropped into the water. 12 mounting screws of size #10 / 3/16″ are required for attachment to the platform; these screws are not included. If the back of the mounting surface is inaccessible, the documented blind mounting system VCBLINDFSNTR can be used.
The strength, geometry, and available depth of the mounting surface must be assessed in relation to the weight of the tender and the load during retrieval. The system is manufactured in the USA by Jefferson Design Inc.
