These VersaChock removable tender chocks in the Heavy Duty version are a universal support set for storing and securing a tender, RIB, dinghy, jet ski, or personal watercraft on a vessel. The system has a capacity of 560 kg and can withstand a maximum horizontal load of 230 kg.
Four low-profile, beveled bases are permanently mounted to the vessel, while the higher supports can be easily removed when not in use. This allows the swim platform or deck to be cleared without removing the entire mounting system. The tender must be secured with suitable tie-down straps during use.
The brackets and bases are manufactured from powder-coated aluminum. The chocks are made of HDPE and feature a protective rubber profile at the contact surface with the hull. The Heavy Duty version has double-wide saddles, which distribute the weight over a larger area of the hull. Each support element measures 225 × 150 × 50 mm.
The system is intended for mounting on a suitable and load-bearing swim platform, flybridge, or boat deck. The positioning must be adapted to the hull shape, center of gravity, load, and the load-bearing capacity of the surface. The supports should be placed as far apart as practically possible, while ensuring they are in contact with a flat and load-bearing part of the hull.
The hull deadrise angle as well as the placement of frames, stringers, and chines should be checked before installation. Support units and locking components must be checked before use, and any outboard motor must not rest with the fin directly against the deck. The system is not intended for extreme loads from high winds or water impact.
Rinsing with fresh water is recommended after use in saltwater. The product is manufactured in the USA by Jefferson Design Inc.
