This ball bearing car for sliding roofs and sliding doors from Viadana is the short 83 mm variant in the manufacturer's 19 mm ball bearing car and track system. The car is used for controlled opening and guiding of sliding roofs and sliding doors on the compatible track with item no. 62.940.08.
The recirculating ball bearing system features a double ball circuit and provides smooth sliding movement with low friction, even under high load. This variant has a maximum working load of 220 kg. The load rating is a working load and should not be considered a documented breaking strength.
The car body is manufactured from 6005-T6 aluminum with a hard-anodized and PTFE-treated surface. The construction combines low weight with a durable sliding surface for the recirculating ball system. The car measures 83 mm in length and 51 mm in width and has a protrusion of 20 mm.
The flat top is equipped with two threaded holes in size 5 MA, corresponding to M5. The car does not have an integrated swivel shackle or blocks. The compatible track with item no. 62.940.08 has a 19 × 13.4 mm X-profile and is sold separately. The end stop with item no. 62.940.09 can be used with this track.
To keep the ball system and the track free from salt and dirt, both parts should be washed regularly with fresh water. For installations with angled pull, the direction of load should be evaluated; for pulls over approximately 10-15° from vertical, a car type with a swivel shackle is recommended.
