VION A100 LD thermo-/hygrometer is an analogue marine instrument for the simultaneous measurement of temperature and relative humidity. The instrument is suitable for wall or bulkhead mounting in the boat's cabin and other interior living spaces where temperature and humidity need to be monitored continuously.
The two-tone dial features a blue thermometer needle and a red hygrometer needle. Temperature is shown on both Celsius and Fahrenheit scales, while relative humidity is indicated in percent. The temperature accuracy is ±1 °C in the range 10–30 °C and ±2 °C in the full measuring range from -20 to 60 °C. The hygrometer accuracy is ±10 percentage points of relative humidity.
The housing is made of 0.5 mm solid 18/10 stainless steel, grade AISI 304L, and has a mirror-polished surface. The front is made of PMMA acrylic glass. The housing diameter is 129 mm, the dial diameter is 106 mm, and the instrument has a protrusion of 40 mm from the mounting surface.
The included quick-lock click bracket makes the instrument removable. The mounting base is screwed onto the wall or bulkhead, after which the housing is hooked onto the top fastener and locked into the two bottom clips. A separate A100 WM spare bracket can be used if the original wall bracket needs to be replaced.
The thermometer is factory-calibrated. The hygrometer should be recalibrated once a year by placing the back of the instrument on a slightly damp cloth for one hour, after which the reading should be 95% relative humidity. Any necessary correction is made carefully through the adjustment hole on the back using a small flat-head screwdriver.
The instrument should be cleaned with a soft cloth without detergents or abrasive products. It should be protected against drops and heavy impacts, as shocks can alter the calibration. The instrument is manufactured in Denmark and comes with a three-year warranty.
