This Vion A100 marine clock with radio silence periods is an analog, battery-operated quartz clock for maritime wall mounting in, for example, a cabin, wheelhouse, or other nautical interior. The A100 C model features a two-tone dial with blue hour and minute hands, a red second hand, and clear sectors for maritime radio silence periods.
The green VHF sectors mark the periods from the hour to 3 minutes past and from 30 to 33 minutes past. The red BLU/SSB sectors mark 15 to 18 minutes and 45 to 48 minutes past the hour. These markings make it easy to see the periods prioritized for maritime safety messages.
The quartz movement has a documented accuracy of ±6 minutes per year and is powered by one 1.5 V AA/Mignon battery. The battery is not included. Used batteries should be removed from the movement to prevent leakage inside the instrument.
The housing is made of 0.5 mm solid 18/10 stainless steel in quality AISI 304L and has a mirror-polished surface. The front is protected by PMMA acrylic glass. The instrument has an outer diameter of 129 mm, a dial diameter of 106 mm, and a protrusion from the wall of 40 mm.
The included quick-lock bracket is screwed onto the wall or bulkhead, after which the instrument clicks into place in the bracket's three attachment points. The design allows the clock to be removed again without loosening the wall screws. The A100 WM can be used as a separate quick-lock wall bracket for the A100 series.
The marine clock is made in Denmark and comes with a three-year manufacturer's warranty.
