This Vion A80 marine instrument is an analog, battery-operated marine clock with a quartz movement and marked radio silence sectors. Model A080 C is designed for wall or bulkhead mounting and features an Ø80 mm dial in a mirror-polished stainless steel housing.
The colored sectors on the dial indicate maritime radio silence periods, during which radio frequencies are prioritized for safety messages to seafarers. The green VHF sectors mark the periods from the hour to 3 minutes past and from 30 to 33 minutes past. The red SSB sectors mark the periods from 15 to 18 minutes past and from 45 to 48 minutes past.
The clock has blue hour and minute hands and a red second hand. The quartz movement has a proven accuracy of ±6 minutes per year, while the white dial with two-tone printing provides a clear view of both the time and radio silence periods.
The housing is made of 0.5 mm 18/10 stainless steel in grade AISI 304L and has a mirror-polished finish. The front is made of PMMA acrylic glass. The instrument has a base diameter of 95 mm, a dial diameter of 80 mm, and a protrusion of 40 mm.
The included Quick Lock bracket makes the clock suitable for wall or bulkhead mounting. The clock is powered by 1 × LR6/AA 1.5 V battery; the battery is not included. The original spare bracket has manufacturer number A080 WM.
The marine clock is manufactured in Denmark by Delite ApS and comes with a 3-year manufacturer's warranty.
