This VIP Challenger MK4 100 N life jacket is the adult version for individuals over 40 kg. It is intended for use in sheltered waters, where the user may need to wait for rescue.
The life jacket features inherent buoyancy from soft foam and a minimum buoyancy of 100 N. It therefore requires no gas cartridge, automatic inflator, or other activation mechanism. The stole-style construction is worn over the head and provides a simple, permanent buoyancy solution.
The adult model covers users over 40 kg and is intended for a chest circumference of 70–170 cm. It is designed with one back strap and one waist strap, as well as a quick-release buckle. The vest does not have an integrated safety harness.
The orange color is combined with reflective strips, which increase visibility. A whistle is attached to the vest, so the user can also emit an acoustic distress signal. The compact design makes the vest easier to stow when not in use.
The life jacket is classified as Level 100 according to EN ISO 12402-4. The EU type-examination has been conducted according to the PPE Regulation (EU) 2016/425 under certificate CE 717864. The certificate copy has an expiry date of November 29, 2024.
For collective storage, the container with item no. 22.409.30 can accommodate four life jackets of this type.
