This mounting carrier for the WAGO 221 series is intended for organized and mechanically stable mounting of 6 mm² splicing connectors. Model 221-510 is suitable for WAGO 221-612, 221-613, and 221-615, with 2, 3, and 5 conductor connections, respectively.
The carrier can be clicked directly onto a DIN 35 rail or screwed onto a flat surface. It can be used for both vertical and horizontal installation. Horizontal mounting on a DIN rail can be performed using the separate angled DIN rail adapter 222-510.
The splicing connectors can be inserted and removed from the carrier without tools. Conductors can be connected or disconnected while the connector is in the carrier, and the test openings remain accessible from the top. The carrier also supports labeling with self-adhesive marking strips.
The mounting carrier is manufactured from orange PA66 polyamide and measures 19.3 mm in width, 94.2 mm in height, and 28.3 mm in depth, measured from the top edge of the DIN rail. The material has a UL 94 V-0 fire rating, and the product is RoHS compliant. The maximum ambient temperature is 85 °C.
For additional cable organization, strain relief plate 222-505 can be mounted on the carrier. Strain relief can be achieved using cable ties across the wiring direction of the connectors. The compatible marking strip has item no. 210-833. Compatible splicing connectors can be found under item nos. 14.286.26, 14.286.36, and 14.286.56.
