This WAGO 221 Series mounting carrier, model 221-500, is a mechanical mounting accessory for the series' 4 mm² splicing connectors. The carrier secures the splicing connectors in electrical installations and provides an organized mounting on a DIN-rail or a flat surface.
The carrier is compatible with the WAGO 221-412, 221-413, and 221-415, which are splicing connectors with 2, 3, and 5 conductor positions, respectively, for conductors up to 4 mm². The splicing connectors can be positioned horizontally or vertically, and conductors can be connected or disconnected both before and after the splicing connector is inserted into the carrier.
Mounting can be performed by snapping the carrier directly onto a DIN-35 rail or by screwing it onto a flat panel. The angled DIN-rail adapter WAGO 222-510 can also be used with the carrier where the installation requires this mounting solution.
The carrier is orange and has PA 66 as the insulation material. The width is 17.5 mm, the depth is 77.6 mm, and the height is 25.5 mm measured from the top edge of the DIN-35 rail. The product weight is 9.57 g.
The insulation material has a fire rating of UL 94 V-0 and a fire load of 0.294 MJ. The product is RoHS-compliant, and the specified maximum ambient temperature for the application is 85 °C.
