This blackout curtain with insect screen from Waterline Design is a combined solution for boat hatches. The individual curtain measures 600 × 600 mm and is intended for a hatch opening or cutout of no more than 520 × 520 mm.
The product combines blackout and insect protection in one unit. It can screen off the hatch, while the insect screen restricts insect access through an open hatch.
The insect screen allows air to pass through, so the hatch can still be used for ventilation. This makes it possible to get fresh air into the cabin without leaving the hatch completely unprotected against insects.
Installation is quick and temporary using suction cups and does not require permanent mounting. The curtain can therefore be put up and taken down as needed.
The external dimensions of 600 × 600 mm provide an overlap around the documented maximum hatch opening of 520 × 520 mm. The variant is intended for boat hatches and is not specified as a porthole variant.
