This mosquito net for boat hatches and portholes from Waterline Design is model WLD1415, sized 800 × 800 mm. The variant is designed for boat and deck hatches with an opening of up to 720 × 720 mm, allowing for cabin ventilation while keeping out mosquitoes, flies, midges, sandflies, and wasps.
The black polyester mesh is stretched by a foldable, chrome-plated steel frame. The pop-up design makes the net ready for use in approximately five seconds, and the total mounting thickness is less than 3 mm. The net overlaps the hatch opening and can therefore be used for square, rectangular, round, and flush-mounted hatches, provided the opening remains within the specified maximum.
Installation is performed from inside the boat using a suction cup or magnet. A tension cord pulls the net against the hatch frame, and no drilling or permanent installation is required. For magnetic mounting, a metal plate is attached to the hatch with double-sided tape. Both suction cup and magnetic solutions are included.
When not in use, the net folds down to approximately one-third of its expanded size and is stored in the included bag. The folded storage dimensions are approximately Ø100 × 12 mm, and the product weight is 60 g.
