This mosquito net for deck hatches and portholes from Waterline Design is the removable 800 × 800 mm variant for deck hatches with an opening of up to 720 × 720 mm. The net covers the open hatch and limits the entry of mosquitoes, midges, and other small insects, while still allowing the cabin to be ventilated.
The mosquito net is mounted from the inside of the boat without permanent attachment. The suction cup is attached to the hatch window, after which the net is tightened against the opening using a cord and cord lock. The outer dimensions of the net are larger than the maximum hatch opening, so it can overlap the opening.
The foldable construction consists of black polyester mesh with a chrome-plated steel frame. The fine-mesh structure is designed to keep even small insects out while allowing air to continue passing through the open deck hatch.
The variant is intended for deck hatches with openings up to 720 × 720 mm and is, among others, specified for Lewmar 70 and Lewmar 77. It can also be mounted on deep hatches. Always check the dimensions of the hatch opening so that the net overlaps the opening sufficiently.
After use, the net can be folded and stored in the included bag. The product corresponds to Waterline Design item no. 1221. For fiberglass hatches where the suction cup cannot be attached directly, plastic plate item no. 1542 is available as an extra accessory. Moisture and heat insulation item no. 6315 can be used together with the net in the same size.
