This mosquito net for hatches and portholes from Waterline Design is a removable, oblong version for portholes with a maximum opening of 430 × 180 mm. The outer dimensions of the net are 490 × 230 mm, and the black polyester mesh helps keep flying insects out while the porthole is open.
The mosquito net is installed in seconds with either a suction cup or magnet and requires no permanent attachment. For suction cup installation, the suction cup is placed on the plexiglass, after which the tension of the net is adjusted with a cord and slider so that the net lies tightly against the outer frame.
The elastic and adaptable design makes the net easy to stretch around the opening. Compatibility is based on dimensions, so the porthole opening must be a maximum of 430 × 180 mm.
When the mosquito net is not in use, it can be twisted and folded together using a figure-eight motion. A storage bag is included so the net can be stored compactly on board.
