External mosquito net for deck hatches from Waterline Design is a removable insect screen measuring 720 × 720 mm for open deck hatches. The net is installed from the outside of the boat and keeps mosquitoes and other small flying insects out while the open hatch continues to provide ventilation to the cabin.
Installation is based on a throw-over principle: the net is placed over the deck hatch, and the integrated weighted band along the edge holds it in place around the hatch opening. No permanent frame, screws, magnets, or suction cups are required, so the net can be put on quickly and removed again as needed.
The black net is made of polyester and measures 720 × 720 mm, equivalent to 28 × 28 inches. The size is designed for deck hatches with external dimensions up to 720 × 720 mm. Choose the net based on the hatch's external dimensions and not the deck cutout size.
The external placement makes the net suitable for boats with internal roller blinds or integrated hatch blinds. It can be used on both sailboats and motorboats and can be removed and stored away when insect protection is not needed.
