What is sound absorption?
Sound absorption is calculated using the sound absorption coefficient alpha at a value between 0 and 1.00. Zero indicates no absorption (total reflection) and 1.00 means total absorption of the incoming sound. This coefficient is used to calculate the commonly used sound absorption indicators.
