Instructions for use for Optimal Frost Protection:
- Drain the System: Drain all tanks (fresh water tank, hot water tank, toilet bowl and holding tank) completely.
- Fill Antifreeze: Pour the mixed antifreeze directly into the tank(s).
- Run the Fluid Through: Open all faucets (including the cockpit shower, galley sink, and bathroom sink) and pumps until antifreeze comes out of each one. This ensures that the entire system is filled and protected.
- After the Frost: When the danger of frost is over, the system is emptied of antifreeze.
- Thorough Flushing: Flush the system thoroughly with plenty of clean water before putting it back into use.
Mixing ratio:
Adapt the frost protection to the expected winter temperatures:
- 50% antifreeze + 50% water = protects down to -10°C
- 67% antifreeze + 33% water = protects down to -21°C
- 100% antifreeze (unmixed) = protects down to -45°C
Important Note:
- Do not discharge into the sea. Always collect used antifreeze and dispose of it at an approved chemical waste collection point.
