Here you will find our FREE tips on how to best polish your boat with Renskib.
We often find it easier to learn things when you see it on a video, so Daniel from Alpina Marine made a short video about how he goes about polishing a boat with the products from Renskib. The video gives a really good explanation of which products you should use for polishing and what things you should pay attention to in order to get the best result.
You need these things before you start polishing with Renskib
- A variable speed rotary polisher (if you are going to polish your boat yourself every year, it is well worth investing in a good quality one). We use a Mirka 1437 - it is small and light, but very powerful and keeps the rpm even under heavy load.
- A REAL lambswool pad. If you use a synthetic one you will get "holograms"
- An adapter to hold the pad out of the polishing machine and to ensure that the thread does not protrude through the pad
- Gelcoat Cleaner, Shampoo, Rubbing, Sealer A and Sealer B from Renskib (we recommend a starter pack)
- Y 10 to remove yellowing in gelcoat
- Magic Sponge
- A bucket of clean water
- A fairly common kitchen sponge.
